International Labor Day-May 1st

May 1st marks International Labor Day, a global holiday dedicated to celebrating the social and economic achievements of the working class.  Also known as May Day, the holiday originated with the labor movement in the late 1800s and evolved into a worldwide celebration of workers' rights and social justice.

International Labor Day remains a powerful symbol of solidarity, hope and resistance. This day commemorates the contributions of workers to society, reaffirms our commitment to social and economic justice, and stands in solidarity with workers around the world who continue to fight for their rights.

As we celebrate International Labor Day, let us remember the struggle and sacrifices of those who came before us, and reaffirm our commitment to a world where all workers are treated with dignity and respect.  Whether we're fighting for fair wages, safe working conditions, or the right to form a union, let's unite and keep the spirit of May Day alive.
